Well, it’s come to that point again – when to take a leap into the unknown and try to concur what I haven’t done before, gibberish?  Maybe, but it seems as though to conquer something I need added pressure to complete all tasks to achieve something final in the end.

I’ve been working hard over the past few months at generally doing ‘nothing’, well, to say that I would be incorrect, I am building many sites and blogs to increase my portfolio online and to be honest I’ve got rather a lot more to do over the coming months.  I’ve been committed to writing for blogs and BANS sites, but I’ve been mainly concentrating on just getting the sites up instead of actually choosing sites that will rank (have a lot of .info domains) rather than using some of the domains that are sitting around at the moment with holding pages on them.  Something that I’ve been meaning to do and just not got around to – after all, we all love to procrastinate now don’t we?

I didn’t think that building a BANS site could be so much fun, as yes you do have all the technical setup stuff and install aspects of the site, but adding content couldn’t be easier as you really don’t have to think.  Bla, bla bla, keyword, bla bla – is generally all I am writing, and even though I am actually making sense it has gone against my better judgment by not proofreading the writing that I have already put together and ensure it is correct.  I’ve been able to just write and motor on, which I think is great as it lets you establish your words on the screen, rather than wondering if you made sense in the last sentence to your readers.  I really do like working this way, as if you are having a bad day, then you can (to a certain extent) write not so good and it really won’t matter.

Other happenings that have been going on to drive traffic to some of my sites have been analyzing keywords that link to my different sites and looking at how traffic and conversions can increase towards a site.  I’ve not really ventured into mass social media marketing, but I think it really is an option that I am considering at the moment, just because for some sites it could really pay off.

I’ve been looking at what inspires me online too, and that is professionalism and the ability to deliver results with whatever service I am offering on the actual site.  Essentially, people go on the internet because they have a need – should this need be solved by them clicking on an ad, or ebay advert, or even purchasing from one of my e-commerce stores, then this is the actual solution to their problem.  I think that Supaproofread will become more prominent over this year as I am determined to grow the network appeal, actual revenue and generally kickstart the brand to become a leader in the market – firstly in the student market, which has had some success, and secondly in the business market where it will be probably a little tougher as many businesses will be looking to trim the costs.  However, some organizations are looking at cutting costs at the moment and so will probably need to out-source their requirements to my team.

Anyway, a little inspiration goes a long way, and I think towards the future that there will be more inspiration and passion to come.

Well, it’s been while since a popped up a post on the blog, mainly due to the fact that I’m writing for my set of niche blogs and other flagship blogs - and with working fulltime as well its proven a little bit awkward and time consuming to write here.

I have been promoting all of the blogs ans sites that I own together, and I feel that I’ve been spreading myself too thin of late and it doesn’t appear to be displaying much results at the moment, so I’m kind of drained and de-motivated - good job its summer then! I was thinking the other day of how much work I put into the many different sites I own and although it is lots and lots I feel at the moment I need to refocus my efforts on just one or two sites to get them boosted in the SERP’s and get some cash coming in - whether this be by adsense, ebay or the proofreading business. It feels like I’m doing loads and ahieving not much which is very annoying. Therefore, I’m going to concentrate on the couple of adsense niche blogs I have and add bans to some existing sites that I have that are quite well aged and won’t be dropped out of Google because they’re too young, or are a .info domains - that latest thing on the dot info domains was very annoying, but we all have to learn that Google makes changes for the greater good and I’m sure it will all ‘come out in the wash sooner or later in the future.

I’ve been looking at on and off-line promotion for supaproofread and I’ve been steadily moving up the rankings online, but still need to be higher than I am at the moment for many more keyword terms, this I believe, is where some more article marketing and inlinks, and of course the blog, come into mind. Also, as it has come to the time of the year when most undergrads in the UK have finished for the year, I’m in two minds whether to actively pick up the poster campaign again and go around the different campuses promoting, or whether its best to leave it until October time and just keep building online awareness and traffic to the site.

Think those are a few things that I need to think about over the comming few days and make a decision about - possibly do 5 or so unis that have a high count in postgrads who will see the posters, plus the fact that not many other companies will be postering at the moment too - I thought that I will have to debate with myself (now you get the title :)) and make a decision.

Until next time …… happy ventures.

So, it’s been a while since I’ve posted on this blog and a short time since I thought about what I should do with nicksanders.eu.

Moving forward into 2008, I’ve decided I’m going to promote this blog as well as my other ones (road2graduation and road2blogging), and also concentrate on my online business – supaproofread.com.  I’ve been marketing the latter off and on for the past 8–10 months and I feel it’s time to move forward with the business and become known throughout (at least the UK) as a recognised online proofreading and editing company top businesses and students.

This has enhanced my goals and focussed me to look at splitting my time into two directions:

1.  Supaproofread (and Supaservices)

2.  Both the blogs – road2graduation and road2blogging

I’m aiming to concentrate more time on R2B (road2blogging dot com) as I’ve set myself a huge challenge on this blog and need to achieve success, not just for the money and establishment that will become by being a problogger, but by looking into my own personal strategy and branding to drive future success forward.

As well as the above I’m also looking into other both off and online businesses in differing niches – and I will be posting about these in the months to come over the year of 2008.

For me, this year is about personal growth and strategy for the future, building the foundation blocks for a healthier and prosperous future, both in business and personal aspects.

How will I get there?

With sheer determination and hard work – I’m not a quitter and hate to be beaten on anything, looking at what I can achieve from every opportunity that comes my way.

Updates

If you want to follow what I’m doing in both my personal and business life then you’re probably best to follow this blog as I do expect to be keeping regular updates of what is going on in my life as a (wannabe) internet entrepreneur.

Hopefully I can establish my blogs and the proofreading business to grow in the latter half of 2008, let’s get ready for the roller-coaster ride!

Hmmm, the start of nicksanders.eu - what’s it going to be?

A resource for people to just see what I’m about and what I’m doing - whether you’re family, friends, people who used to stay in touch, or someone surfing the net and drop by my blog. I’ll update regualrly about what’s happening in my life and what’s going on where I am, here in the UK.

If you’d like to know more about me, what I do and how I actually know certain things then you’re probably best to start at the About page on this site. You are more than welcome to go visit some of my other sites:

  • www.road2graduation.com - a site for students at college and university, providing tips, advice and news about academia
  • www.road2blogging.com - (site not currently active), will be a 24 month development for me to understand what it means to become a problogger from being virtually an amateur one - should be an interesting read and will update when it goes live.
  • www.road2fitness.eu - going to be my action to fitness - positing every day or two about my personal fitness road and how I’m getting to the size and shape I want - this will begin in the new year (2008) and will update when it goes live.

Why so many .eu’s?

All of the .com’s had gone, annoying I know! But I was set on these names and positive that I can brand these to be 3 journeys people could visit in different niches. Hopefully, this will bring me into the internet world as a leading blogger in different niches - in 24 months (let’s say from Decmber 2007) I hope to have developed these blogs to their full potential - December 2009 here I come!

What can you expect?

My personal life (to an extent) on what I’m doing where I’m developing and how the other sites are developing. Oh, nearly forgot to mention, I will also be posting some information on a company a run too - but that will be a little later, until next time….
